The Dordogne region of France is known for it’s wine and culture ranging from the caves at Lascaux to the medieval castles and towns that still dot the river’s edge. Spend your days wandering through a village with buildings dating to the 12th century, a Sunday market in a medieval town and sample wines during an evening with a local sommelier that perfectly blend the old and the new. Enjoy walking through the vineyards and sightseeing through the verdant countryside.
A private chateau, of course! Each room in the chateau is unique. Encased in a region of rolling hills and country roads, days can take the form of a stroll down the lane, a bike ride through the vines or our included explorations. And don’t forget a good book for some chilled out pool time.
(There are sooo many options, you're in France after all!)
The easiest location to come into, either by train or by plane, is Bergerac. The Bergerac airport (ECG) is about a 20min drive from the chateau. The Bergerac train station is about 30min away. There are other train stations and airports (Libourne and Bordeaux) but they are 40min to an hour and a half away from the chateau.
Please note that this is strictly an example itinerary. The final schedule and itinerary goes out around 5 weeks before departure and only goes out to the teacher and then to the participants attending the retreat. Please also note that where it's mentioned "yoga class" this is your time to fill in however you'd like - a photography session, health coaching module, kickboxing refresh, writing circle, nap... whatever you fancy!
